New Legendary System (U30.3)

  OVERVIEW LOTRO will be releasing its new Legendary System (LI) in a future update (U30.3).  The reason for the revamp to the system was to create a less “grindy” experience, particularly for those just getting their new Legendary Weapons and Items as the shear amount of consumables required to level them to cap became more and more daunting with each new level cap.  The Dev team have stated that they will fairly compensate those with the existing LIs; perhaps through a barter mechanism. In addition, they will not be forcing people to make the change, you will be able to use your existing LIs as is. Although it will likely be advantageous to make the switch, particularly as the game progresses.   The new LI System will be available to players level 50+ and feature more customization than the current iteration. SSG and the Devs have stated that they plan to implement a fair way to compensate players that have existing legendary weapons and items.  As of this writing you will rece

This heavily forested area has drawn the attention of two groups of Free Peoples who vie for its resources. The League of the Axe, a group of game hunters and miners down on their fortunes, seek to tap the land's resources and ferry their bounty down the Brandywine from Trader's Wharf to markets abroad. Meanwhile, a group of villagers in Trestlebridge have formed the Woodcutter’s Brotherhood, with the goal of taking advantage of the Wildwood to benefit the folk of Bree-land and rebuild Trestlebridge to its former glory. Both factions must decide the fate of the Wildwood as they work against unsavory Brigands and the Tarkrîp Orcs. The update also includes two new 3-player scaling instances set in Eriador,

Greetings! I'm writing today to get you up to speed on our current plans for the rest of the year and tease a few things we hope you look forward to. The Lord of the Rings Online celebrates its 14th Anniversary this year, and that is thanks to you logging in and playing. Our first big update of 2021 will happen in March when we release The Wildwood of Bree-land to the game. Wildwood will see the release of the long-teased wilderness between Bree-land and Evendim. The Wildwood is being eyed by two factions aiming to use the land for their own purposes, but their (and your) enemies have other plans in mind.... This will be the first time we can think of where we are releasing below-level-cap region content in addition to level cap content, so even players who are not at level cap can enjoy this new experience.
